A new top level domain is coming to Australia! If you haven’t already been made aware then you should pencil the date in your calendar, round up your hosting specialist and get ready to stake your claims. For the first six months after release those who already have a domain with the .au name space (.org.au/ .net.au / .com.au) can register for priority purchase of the new domain names.
If your clients are in Australia then this is relevant to you – get on it, claim your space and let your patch grow.
If you don’t have a com.au (or variation of) already, but you are planning to get one I would recommend doing so before the 22nd March so you are onboard with priority access for the .au namespace.
Last but not least, I would strongly recommend actioning these decisions over a coffee or lunch at your local hospo institution!
