I sat down with Michael Chan, Studio Veld’s Full Stack Developer to chat all things Three D Radio - Adelaide.
For those just joining the party, we recently built a brand new website for Three D Radio.
Name 3 things you loved about this project:
⭐ That so many people will benefit from this new website; such a large audience.
⭐ Being able to provide an on demand listening solution for them that synchronises so well between the website and the app.
⭐ Building something that positively changes the experience for the community.
Name 3 things that you learnt (or were reminded of) during this project:
👉 That an entire radio station can be run by volunteers!
👉 That tech problems, especially the program guide, can be solved by communication.
👉 The unique business logic that applies to community radio and how it influences the systems they need to support them.
What are you most proud of?
👏 I’m so proud of that on demand solution. Building a website solution that gives on demand listening for up to four weeks of playlists without having to go to the app. Really proud of that.
